After serving three years in a tank regiment in the german army, Thomas started his banking career with an apprenticeship in a german savings bank. Graduated in 1990 at the Academy of Saving Banks in Hanover he gained experience in various positions in corporate banking, work out, international trade finance and commercial real estate finance.
In 1992 Thomas joint Deutsche Hypothekenbank (DHB) and concentrated in financing commercial real estate assets ( i.a. office,retail, residential, logistic, hotel, clinics, cinemas, pubs, parking , r & d ) as well as portfolios in Germany and several international jurisdictions (i.a. France, UK, Poland, BeNeLux, US, Spain, Ireland, Switzerland, Austria).
Between 1994 and 2001 he served additionally as Deputy Head of Workers Council and Member of the (non-executive) Supervisory Board of DHB. Thomas is since 2001 leading the International Property Finance Division.
Now with more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate in various international markets he focus on strategic issues, origination & business development in respect of DHB offices in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Warsaw ,Madrid and leadership for all international cross-border activities .
Thomas is born in 1962, married with two children and lives near Hanover/Germany.
